Shihan Donovan Waite was a teacher in New York Aikikai and Philadelphia. He taught all over the world, so he also came to the Netherlands to give a seminar. Where Edo and Anne came into contact with an extremely charismatic Aikidoka, who opened up a whole new world of Aikido.

Before sensei Edo and Anne became students of Yoshimitsu Yamada shihan, they were direct students of the French grandmaster Christian Tissier for about 8 years. Partly thanks to him they started their own dojo in Veldhoven.
