We are an Aikikai dojo
Ando is an Aikikai Aikido dojo, which is a 'style' in Aikido. We'll tell you more about that in a moment. In everything we do, we believe that everyone needs inspiration, motivation and an example to get the best out of themselves. We believe in thinking differently, in awareness.
Aikikai Aikido is a 'style' within Aikido. It is often seen as elegant and effective. The techniques are less direct and therefore feel less clumsy.
The way we offer Aikido lessons is through a tailored programme to children, youth and adults. Powerful through simplicity and focused on results. This is reflected in our Aikido classes, but also outside the mat, everything we do is based on this philosophy.

Security & Integrity
Everyone on the mat should feel safe. As part of safety and Integrity in and around the dojo when practising Aikido, volunteering and organisational work, Aikido school Ando has the following policy.
Aikido school ANDO maintains the rules of conduct for trainers and supervisors covering cross-border behaviour, such as the rules of conduct which the NOC*NSF has drawn up.

- Aikido school Ando has a hiring policy for new volunteers.
- Aikido school Ando has Audrey appointed as trust (contact) person within its organisation. It can be reached at vertrouwenspersoon@aikido-ando.nl she can also regularly be found on the mat during adult classes. She is the first point of contact for complaints about transgressive behaviour, sexual harassment, discrimination and unacceptable behaviour.
