Je loopt op de mat of daarbuiten een vervelende blessure op waardoor je een tijdje niet kan trainen. Natuurlijk baal je ervan dat je niet op de mat kan staan. Je wil zo snel mogelijk weer aan de slag maar die blessure heeft tijd nodig om te helen Dat geeft je wel de kans om op een andere manier naar de trainingen te kijken.<br \/>Uit eigen ervaring kan ik zeggen dat je door te kijken naar een training ook veel kan leren. Bijvoorbeeld omdat je verder van de actie zit en vanuit een andere plek naar de technieken kan kijken. Je ziet aikidoka worstelen met technieken en soms zie jij waar het \u2018misgaat\u2019. Een andere keer kun je de bewegingen op de mat zelf voelen doordat je jezelf inbeeld dat je meedoet. Je observeert onze sensei en hun manier van lesgeven (hoe kan jij als senpai daar weer iets van leren). Door alles op een afstandje waar te nemen zie je aikido letterlijk vanuit een ander perspectief. Dat is ook wat me zo aansprak toen Anne sensei dit artikel van Eric Lavigne deelde. Eric vertelt hoe hij langere tijd langs de mat zat vanwege een blessure maar ook hiervan kon leren. Hij beschrijft zijn bezoek aan een bijzondere stage van Waka sensei (Mitsuteru Ueshiba, achterkleinzoon van O\u2019sensei en de volgende Doshu) en Yamada sensei in Montreal, Canada.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/acalmplace.org\/impostor-syndrome\/2018\/9\/22\/an-aikido-seminar-seen-from-the-edges?fbclid=IwAR0kOIO4TDSjpyuYx94w_ZIWBNHBckC1EkpkmNTSiuB8QETBbj-7FgBtvlA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KLIK HIER<\/a>\u00a0om het artikel te lezen.<\/p><p>Het mooie aan dit artikel is dat hij ook uitlegt waarom hijzelf stages bezoekt. Een stage is niet alleen een gelegenheid om een paar uur extra te trainen. Het is een uitdaging, hoe je soms worstelt met nieuwe technieken of een andere stijl.
